My 1st visit there. I asked a customer was the food good and she responded "yes, I eat here everyday." The baked chicken is best I've ever tasted. When I got home,OMG, the food was delicious. Going back today.

Mon. June 29th 2020, 7 pm. After reading these reviews, I'm kind of scared to see how my order will turn out. I am in town, until tomorrow. Yesterday I order from Noodles, whom gave me the wrong dumplings (after one bite, I had a huge allergic reaction, got sick. Feeling better and hungry now). I decided to look up delivery and eat "Black Owned". I have not received my order yet. I will update this post, with pictures, soon as it has arrived. Keeping fingers crossed! Updated: 7:00 pm: Placed 2 piece chicken (dark meat), 2 sides order (black-eyed peas & collards) (10), with key lime pie (6), received a 7:55 pm eta & made a preview, review. 7:39 pm: Delivery guy called, said restaurant was out of dark meat. I said it was fine, give what they can, in order to replace. 7:45 pm: Received info on new delivery driver & new eta of 8:01 pm 8:14 pm: Received call from delivery person about food being at front desk. Opened my food. Contents inside: 1 piece of fried chicken breast (large), side of Lima beans, side of black-eyed peas, side of collards, and key lime pie. Starting with sides: Black-eyed peas had the ole-school country, straight from G-ma's kitchen taste! With that dash of sugar, to balance flavor & seasoning. Man! I've never tasted Lima beans so dang gone good, from a restaurant before! The collards were almost salty. They must clean them with baking soda, which means that they know what they are doing! And the fried chicken was tasty, fried right and JUICY! So dang on JUICY!! Yummy! My dessert was good as well. I did not finish my plate, but will be taking it back to Florida with me tomorrow. Thank God they allow me to bring food on the plane! At times, things can get pushy, rushy, or mixed up, when your trying to make things perfect & from scratch. Foods like this, can not be rushed nor precooked "all the time", no matter how one may attempt. People, please be mindful of this, while writing reviews. I will spread the word of this Southern Black Owned restaurant, as I wish the owner, staff, etc, the absolute best! Peace, Strength, Prosperity, Love & Light to you guys!

I ordered the oxtails and turkey dinner—so good! The mashed potatoes with turkey gravy were delicious, and the collards were full of flavor. Feels like great home cooking to go.

Very nice establishment! Customer service was warm and friendly. The place was clean and smelled fresh. I had the turkey wing dinner. The turkey wing was OK. I thought it could be a little more tender and the gravy was a little greasy for me, but not bad. Two sides were lima beans, which were seasoned well and tasted good and the turnip greens, which was bland but OK. The turkey wing came over a bed of white rice, which was also just OK. All in all I give my dinner plate at 7! I’ll go back but not too soon.
